When is a contract not a contract?
A quick shout out to the Sydney Morning Herald today, with an article that talks about Energy contracts that are not really contracts. That is, they have a small ‘Opt Out’ clause that allows the energy company to increase their prices at any time, including before you actually get your first bill. It is an interesting read, but the gist is that the various regulators do not want to get involved.
